From Portugal to the Outter Banks

The end of July saw two trips for Vic team riders; Portugal and the Outter Banks in North Carolina. Attending Portugal was Morgan Just, Teddy Vlasis, and Johnny Salta which from the sounds of it had a fantastic time. Great weather, great waves, great friends, great food …… we think you get the picture. The boys were taken care of by the locals and enjoyed two different skim contests while in country. The top results of the UST contest in Portugal were:

1) Sam Stinnett
2) Hugo Santos
3) Blair Conklin
4) Eduardo Joaquim

While Johnny returned home after Portugal, Morgan and Teddy flew directly to Philadelphia, hopped in the car for about for 7-8 hours and made there way to Kill Devil Hills, NC. Catching some quick rest, the guys got themselves ready for the Outter Banks Skim Contest run by Skim City. Battle after battle ensued and the final results of the OBX contest were:

1) Perry Pruit
2) Sam Stinnet
3) Dave Scott
4) Jason Wilson
5) Brad Domke
6) Tim Fulton

Teddy and Morgan remain 3rd and 4th on the UST respectively and had a fantastic time on their journey across the continent and across continents. Congratulations boys on representing Vic so well!

Johnny Salta goes Pro!

Victoria Skimboards is pleased to announce that once esteemed amateur rider, Johnny Salta, has now joined the professional skimboarding ranks. His first professional contest was the Cabo Clasico held at Solmar Beach in Cabo San Lucas over the weekend of May this last May 19th and 20th.

Johnny has been skimboarding with a majority of the top professionals of the sport in his hometown of Laguna Beach and felt the time was right to make the change. “The pros push each other so much and I am ready to be a part of it” stated Johnny.

We look for good things to come from Johnny in the near future and are excited to have him as a professional athlete. Congratulations Johnny and best of luck as everyone will be gunning for you!
