Day Two

Round 2 started at 8am. Lighter wind than yesterday the whole morning competition had really nice sets coming through. Semis and finals at 4.30pm later this afternoon!

Day One

Contest started off at 9am, first round of each category went. Our boys made it through, more rounds coming up at 4.30 pm. Great vibe here in San Patricio (Melaque) with all the local skimboarders. Lots of talents here. More updates soon!

Upcoming Team trip to Melaque, Mexico

We are more than happy to announce that Teddy Vlasis, Jon Howell, Paddy Mack, Matthieu Thibaud, Johnny Atoe and Tex Haines will be present at the 2014 Melaque Skim Contest (March 14th – 16th). They will meet up with the organizers Diego and Jorge Barba from X3M and the Melaque Vic Team Riders Tule, Tripas, Guayabo and Barayan. Stay tuned for daily picture galleries clips and updates of the contest and free sessions!!!

Saturday Session // 2 22 14 // West Street

Some South in the swell on Saturday produced few nice siders on sets. Long wait between sets, but worth waiting! Morgan Just really impressed the crowd, especially with one of the heaviest lay back we have ever seen, and managed to stick it and get barreled on the sand! He seems to really like his 2014 Pro Model. Also starring Johnny Atoe, Johnny Salta, Paddy Mack, Tex Haines, Evan McLaughlin and more…

Write a note to Victoria’s long time engineer Bob Phillips awaiting heart transplant

If you ever stopped at Victoria Skimboards, to pick up a board, drop off a surfboard repair, or just check the shop out, you probably have seen Bob Phillips. One sure thing is, that if you own a Victoria Skimboard, any model, from pretty much any year, Bob has had his hands on it at one point of time, and drove it from the San Clemente factory to the Laguna Beach shop. He has also always put a lot of effort in setting up the VIC contest site early morning every year. He is a very talented mechanical engineer, one of a kind! The list of things he has brought to Victoria Skimboards is very long…

Bob has had some heart issues lately, and this morning we heard that the surgery is not an option anymore, and that he is on the list for a heart transplant. He doesn’t have facebook, or even an email address, but we do! So if you have ever met Bob, or not, you can leave him a message below in the facebook comment box, and we will print and make sure he gets all the notes at the hospital in LA, next time Victoria owner Tex Haines goes up to visit him.

2014 Morgan Just Pro Model

Morgan Just Pro 2014

Once again Morgan Just had a great 2013 season, placing 4th overall on the Professional Skimboarding Tour. Every year he impresses the judges more and more by his talent. He recently just picked up his brand new 2014 Pro model. Morgan Just designed himself the shape resin art and logo of this boar. This is exactly the board he rides and performs at contest, and free session. Tested all around the World, this board is for you if you want to become a champion like Morgan.
