My family picked me up a custom grommet w/ fishtail for a combined Father’s Day / 40th Birthday present. I don’t do tricks – instead, I tend to go as fast as possible and catch the smaller waves from boats on Puget Sound beaches. This board absolutely nails everything I was hoping it would do! About 2 or 3 times per summer I’ll trek out to the Pacific Ocean beaches (2 hours from the Seattle area). I’m sure this board will be versatile enough to grab what I can get there too (waves crash further from shore than California, in most cases). I’ve been upgrading my Vic boards every 3 years, so I am looking forward to a few years with this one! Thank you so much for the awesome customer service, board, and information.

I am searching a board for waves and deeper water after skimming several years on woodys. But my beach is not free of stones and this always left marks on the wooden boards. How snesible is the bottum of the board in case of contact with stones?

    • Matthieu

Any foam core board (like the Grommet) are going to get more damaged from rocks than any wood board like the Woody. unfortunately.
Let us know if you have any other question!
      Thank you!

      Hi Sam,
No board is “too advanced” Grommet is a great Foam board that will allow you to ride small and bigger waves,
